It is Sunday, the brain is churning and I have discovered, now, that I will not be re-newing any of my magazine subs! OH NO!
I call all my mag stash my "reference material" and I keep them! I have copies of magazines that are no longer published, and I will keep them for a long time just to touch and pull out the pages for my decorating addiction! So without further adieu........here goes!
Dear Victoria Magazine,
It is with great sadness that I send this letter declining my renewal subscription to your lovely magazine! I LOVE it so! But I have decided "a year without spending" is a Mission and a challenge for me and a reality now and this luxury does not fit into the equation.
Please, know that I am heartbroken, not to be able to touch your eye candy pages and pull them out for inspiration!
I was a subscriber for years, until you stopped publication, and then I came back when you initiated publication again, I was thrilled, but now, I cannot subscribe.
If you wish to send your lovely magazine to me, or allow me to advertise for you on my blog, PLEASE, send away! I would love it!

I know how hard it is to not keep magazine subscriptions! I have tons of crochet magazines and books that get looked at once and then stored in my craft room. But I love to take them out and look at every so often. How in the world do you pass a yard sale and not stop? That is the hardest thing for me to do. I feel like I have 'hoarding' tendencies or OCD sometimes! Maybe your blog can help.

ReplyDeleteIf you could see how I am living you would understand. I recently retired, but moved whilst working 14 hours a day, sleep was the only thing on my mind so consequently, home was not attended to much :( I was living in a storage!
So that being said, I am on a roll to get back on track, a break a breather, a walk away for a little while perhaps of the buying until I keep what really means that much and fits into my smaller abode! :)
Gonna give you a small challenge now! :) Next time you see the garage sale,throw on those Foster Grant Sunglasses, drive on by with a big smile, go home and look in those wonderful magazines with a glass of ice tea or and use that $20 as a bookmark! :) Get it!? Now if you want to make something new for you or as a gift, you will have a "stash!" started maybe. The garage sales will always be there for anything we may need or wish want for right?
